Business lawyer David Steinfeld is the owner and founder of the Law Office of David Steinfeld. He has over 25 years of experience and is a Board Certified expert in business litigation by the Florida Bar. To become board certified, Mr. Steinfeld had to successfully complete a certain number of judge and jury trials to demonstrate his competency. Chaired and served on several Florida Bar Committees
in 2012, Mr. Steinfeld was appointed by the President of the Florida Bar to the Certification Committee for Business Litigation. Since 1996, this Committee has reviewed applications for certification and re-certification and drafted the board certification exam. Mr. Steinfeld was appointed as the Vice-Chair in 2015 and then as the Committee Chair in 2016.
In 2022, after serving for six years on the Committee, Mr. Steinfeld was reappointed to the Committee for an additional three year term. In 2023, he was asked to serve again as Committee Vice-Chair and in 2024 he was appointed again as the Committee Chair becoming the first attorney in the almost thirty year history of the program to serve twice as both Vice-Chair and as Chair of the Business Litigation Board Certification Committee.
Dave has also been involved in the Florida Bar’s sub-committees that update Florida’s Corporate and Limited Liability Company laws. Mr. Steinfeld also served by appointment by the Florida Supreme Court to the Statewide Business and Contract Jury Instructions Committee. That Committee is responsible for drafting and refining jury instructions for business litigation cases and those jury instruction are used by business lawyers throughout the State of Florida.

Dave is licensed in all trial and appellate courts in the State of Florida, including the Florida Supreme Court. While he most often appears in cases in the Fifteenth Circuit, which is Palm Beach County and the Nineteenth Circuit, which is comprised of Martin, St. Lucie, Indian River, and Okeechobee Counties, clients across the State seek his expertise in business law and he regularly appears in State and Federal Courts throughout Florida.

Teaches Judges and Lawyers about business law and eDiscovery
Dave designed and presented a continuing education course that teaches Judges, lawyers, and paralegals how to properly and ethically perform the process in lawsuits of electronic discovery. e-Discovery as it is called is an emerging, but important part of business litigation that involves the use of sophisticated software to obtain and sort electronic data computer files like emails. Mr. Steinfeld’s knowledge in this field, his membership in the Association of Certified e-Discovery Specialists, and his connection with e-discovery software vendors allows him to provide a high level of service to his clients in e-Discovery.
Mr. Steinfeld has also been invited to sit on the business law program advisory board of Keiser University in West Palm Beach. Ha also occasionally teaches a course at law schools in Seoul , South Korea about the American legal system and was appointed as a full professor of law at Dankook University Law School in South Korea.

Eagle Scout and Rotary International Scholar
Dave earned his law degree from the University of Miami and a Bachelor’s from the University of Wisconsin in Madison. He speaks Japanese, some Korean, is an Eagle Scout, and a former Rotary International Scholar to Japan. He enjoys scuba diving, underwater photography, traveling, gardening, and golf.
