Why business litigators fit best for Florida real estate disputes
Video Description
Real estate in Florida has been considered a business for over 100 years. Real estate lawyers handle the transactions but business lawyers litigate real estate disputes. So business litigators are the best fit for Florida real estate disputes.
The decision of which lawyer to hire depends on the experience and expertise of the lawyer. The three most common questions you should ask when hiring a lawyer for your real estate dispute are (1) how much will this cost, (2) how long will this take, and (3) what results can I expect.
In this video Board Certified expert Florida business litigator David Steinfeld explains why a business lawyer is the right kind of lawyer for your real estate dispute and what you can expect when you hire a board certified expert for your real estate dispute.

What it means to be board certified
I'm Dave Steinfeld. I am a Florida Bar Board Certified business litigation attorney. That means I'm a certified expert in the area of business litigation law which under Florida law encompasses a broad range including real estate litigation as well as intellectual property, all matters dealing with business, and so on. I own my own law practice here in Palm Beach Gardens called the Law Office of David Steinfeld.
I represent businesses and business-people in lawsuits and litigation. But I also counsel businesses and business-people from my background and experience of many years and being an expert in business litigation law on how to arrange transactions and how to arrange all sorts of deals so that they can either stay out of litigation or they can hopefully maximize their chances of prevailing if they are unfortunately involved in litigation.
I also do something which is brand new to Florida law called eDiscovery. Electronic discovery is something that is just new to the practice of law. It's essentially a party’s ability to get your emails and electronic documents but there are certain things that businesses have to do in particular to protect themselves and there are many videos and articles on my website for those that are interested. Website is DavidSteinfeld.com.

Who is David Steinfeld
My background, in other words why are you listening to me, my background is that I'm a former U.S. Army Judge Advocate General attorney. I practiced in the courts in the Army for a number of years and got a lot of trial experience through that. When I finished my term in the Army and went into civilian practice, I went into the area of business litigation. As I mentioned earlier, I am Board Certified in business litigation law. I'm one of only about 225 attorneys out of the almost 100,000 in Florida that holds that specialized certification and I’m qualified to call myself an expert or specialist in that particular area and business litigation law.
I am a fellow in the national trial lawyer society called the Litigation Counsel of America which is by invitation only and only one-half of 1% of all lawyers in the country are invited into that group and I'm a member of its complex commercial litigation institute as well as the trial law institute of the Litigation Counsel of America. I hold the highest peer review rating from Martindale-Hubbell which is a national peer review program and system for attorneys. It's based on recommendations from judges as well as recommendations from other attorneys that's an AV Preeminent rating. I am on the Florida Bar committee that oversees certification in the area of business litigation and regulates that. I'm also on several committees in the local Palm Beach County Bar and I'm a member of a group called the Association of Certified eDiscovery Specialists that deals with electronic discovery.
